"We had a great day at Vintage Village at Stockport Market Hall today, although it did feel strange to just be a customer and see another stall in our spot! We had a little shop around Manchester too, I could have bought it all! Now for a rest infront of the TV :)"

[Editor's note: this is a beautiful 1940s felt hat with bronze glass bugle beading details and a felt bow at the back.  We can only show one shot, and this one was lovely!  Modelled by Michelle, @candypeelkate's very glamorous mum].

We might have been a little bit ambitious with our Merry Little Christmas Fair, since we were offered the use of a huuuge marquee for three days; Friday, Saturday and our fair day on Sunday 8th December.

The weather gods certainly thought so, presenting us with gale-force winds which meant that it was unsafe to put up the lovely big marquee on Thursday night ready for Friday.  Oh dear.

Undeterred, we made a fresh start on Saturday, and our special Christmas Marquee alongside Stockport Market Hall proved quite a hit with the regular market shoppers.  There was the inimitable charmer Paul Harper singing old-time favourites from 1930s-40s, Oooh Betty! brought along her dinky 1970s Sprite caravan called Maurice, all done up as a retro Christmas pop-up shop, and we had a select bunch of fabulous vintage traders to give a taste of what The Vintage Village is about.

And on Sunday, it was the full-on Vintage Village festive experience with all of the above plus the Market Hall chock full of alluring vintage treasures.  Vivacious Katie Spitfire came along to serenade visitors with Paul Harper, Santa made an appearance giving out Tunnock's Tea Cakes, and the good people of Stockport and points beyond turned out in record-breaking numbers to browse the stalls.

And here's just a sample of the marvellous things our visitors saw and brought home.  Did you find something nice?  It's not too late to add it to our gallery!  (Unless it's a Christmas present, naturally; I understand the need for discretion!)

Just tweet your photo @Vintage_Village - don't forget the underscore! - or post it on our Facebook page so I don't miss it.

As per usual, every photo links back to its original page, and you can click on the Twitter names to meet some of the discriminating and accomplished vintage hunters we were privileged to welcome to our fair.  Thank you for so generously sharing your photos (and making us all jealous!)

And don't miss Riven's superb Finds of the Fair this month.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, and we hope to see you again in the New Year!
