The Vintage Village Mad Hatter's Fair

Hat styles for men in 1915, during the First World War.  We're marking the 100th anniversary of the Armistice with two minutes' silence at 11.00am.

Stop by Stuart Thornley Cake Design's stall to get your cakey treats, and order something extra special for Christmas like this spectacular Tree Trunk Cake.  The whole range is amazing!

Dust off that trilby, it's time for ...

The Vintage Village Mad Hatter's Fair

Where: Stockport Covered Market Hall, SK1 1EU
How much: £2.00 entry, concessions £1.50, under 12s FREE!

There's a reason Stockport County FC are known as the Hatters.  Stockport was a major hub of hat manufacturing from the 17th century to the 20th.  We're collaborating with Marketplace Studios to celebrate Stockport's proud heritage of quality hat making this month!

Wear your best vintage hat - with complementary ensemble - and you could win a prize!  The first prize includes a beautiful hand-painted-on-the-spot portrait by the amazing artist Andrea Joseph aka A Heavy Soul.

Judging and prize-giving at 2.30pmish.

Go to Marketplace Studios - just a few steps away on the Market Place - for a "How it's made display" of hats, plus tips and tricks to revamp your vintage hat.

We've got the impeccably cool Dusty Sevens DJs returning to soundtrack your visit with the best selection of soulful 45s to move your dancing feet.

AND there's a whole Market Hall full of top vintage traders offering a huge variety of quality vintage goods from badges to ballgowns, top hats to telephones, and all sorts of unexpected and multifarious items you never knew you wanted until you saw them.

Refreshments TBC, but there's always the multi-award-winning Stuart Thornley Cake Design for some sweet delights, and you can place an order from their amazing Christmas 2018 range.

Please note: there will be two minutes' silence at 11.00am to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice.
